Description
Reduce the risk of back injury with a ramp. One of the main causes of back injuries to long-backed breeds is jumping on and off furniture. Providing ramps for access to favorite napping places is a step in helping to prevent these crippling injuries. This handcrafted ramp is adjustable from 15 to 20 inches. Made in Montana from American hickory. Clear coat (pictured) or chestnut. Covered with neutral-colored berber carpet. Rubber feet prevent slipping and protect floors. Measures 36" L x 12"W of walking surface. Furniture quality construction with interlocking joints. Some assembly required with a common screwdriver.
BECKY'S COMMENTS: Anybody who knows me will tell you I fully support ramps for small dogs. Stairs are the worst thing for a dachshund's back and I cannot stress it enough - use a ramp! We have them up to the furniture and beds and our dogs use them faithfully. Anytime a dog jumps, their entire weight comes down, putting pressure onto their spine. Why take the chance that any jump may be *the* jump that causes them to be crippled, or worse yet, have to be put down? Ramps are a necessity in a small dog household. For your dog's health - use a ramp!
